It’s always a treat when companies like Furch, which are known for their innovative approach to guitar manufacturing, decide to invest all that knowledge and talent into making a traditional acoustic guitar. No bevels, no flashy features. Just wood and strings full of magic.

The Woods

The Furch Vintage 1 OM-SM has a solid AA African Mahogany back and sides, carefully selected by the team of luthiers are Furch. The guitar is topped with one of the most common woods used in the industry, Spruce. Furch uses for this model AA Solid Sitka Spruce which compliments the Mahogany body well. It is a classic combination of woods in guitar manufacturing after all. What Furch does though, which enhances the response and tonal array of the guitar, is protect the entire guitar with their own developed ultra-thin and consistent UV Full-Pore Satin Finish.

Individually tuned top

Furch also tunes the top of the Vintage 1 OM-SM in a process called voicing. This process brings out the sparkle and tonal capabilities of the top to best performance. The result is a sweet sounding guitar which contains bell like highs and a little shelved lows. In our opinion the Furch Vintage 1 ON-SM is a perfect for finger picking, hybrid and soft singer songwriting with a deep lead voice.
