A Beautiful Model

The Summit SG Classic really is a gorgeous design. With a Les Paul-inspired, light-weight solid body, and two Godin Custom Humbuckers, this is a guitar that not only looks nice but sounds amazing.
But why is it called an SG?
Well, as a matter of fact, the SG has nothing to do with the classic Gibson model. It actually stands for semi-gloss, because these guitars have a lovely semi-gloss finish.
Confusing?
A little, but you’ll quickly get over that when you get a feel for just how nice the Summit is to play.

Should You Buy The Summit SG Classic?

This guitar really is a pure delight to mess around with. It’s straightforward enough to play, with a classic three-way toggle switch and dedicated volume/tone knobs for each pickup.
In terms of materials, the top is ash, the neck is birch, and the body is made of a substance called acrylonitrile butadiene styrene – a lightweight polymer.
Altogether that makes for a pretty decent guitar, but now we come to the real make-or-break moment: the price.

The Summit SG Classic retails for around $1100.
